I pretty much loved this fic. Merlin in Boston makes me happy, because I live in Boston and work a very short walk away from the boys' apartments. (Except... does Merlin's address actually exist?) I love it when people actually know my city and use the landmarks in such a way that it feels authentic. (Traffic noise over the Pike, traffic on Tremont, etc.) And I know some city bicyclists, though they don't do courier work, so it really felt like this story was about people I knew. Go you!

Also, Gwen was adorable. I'm not as crazy as Merlin (I think only 'I really love cats' girl is that crazy), but who doesn't love cats in a box? His friendly stalking and incessant cat-chatter ("I won't say anything about cats. Yes I will! No, I won't!) seemed very believable, and was also really endearing.

It's obvious that you're a pet person yourself, and that appreciation for the people-animal connection comes through clearly in this work. Well done!

Thanks so much for commenting. I'm glad you liked the fic! Yes, I am a cat lover, with one cat- Morgan. And I worked for the SPCA from 1987-1995.

There is an Otis Street, and I needed Merlin to live on the border of Chinatown for all the logistics of the story to work. Eight-hundred exists according to Google Earth, but I have yet to find it in real life. Maybe it's magic?
